Melasma and other dark spots are a result of uneven Melanin distribution throughout the skin. Cosmelan regulates the melanin activity, causing the pigment producing cells to slow down their abnormal over-production and function in a more uniform way.
This natural dark spot treatment is based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process.Cosmelan will also produce a slight initial peel which helps refinish the skin surface while diminishing hyper-pigmentation. COSMELANTREATMENT STEPS

STEP 1 (IN CLINIC):
The Cosmelan I pigment-reduction activating mask is applied at our clinic. The Cosmelan Mask is left on your skin for 5 - 10 hours depending on your skin type and sensitivity level.

STEP 2 (AT HOME):
We will instruct you how to apply your maintenance cream, Cosmelan II, on an ongoing basis at home. This special pigment control cream contains ingredients such as Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid and a protective agent, Titanium Dioxide. This process both further improves pigmentation problems and prevents excess pigment formation (so the issue will fully remain resolved).

COSMELAN TREATMENT GUIDELINES
