Microneedling Session - What to Expect
An average microneedling treatment requires approximately 1.5 hours from start to finish. Prior to the start of the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area, and a patient will rest for approximately 30 minutes.
Next, our practitioners will apply the chosen skin-repair ingredients to the skin and administer the mesopen microneedling. Typically this portion of the treatment lasts 15 minutes. During the procedure you may experience some slight tingling and warmth of the skin, however the procedure is very comfortable. After the mesopen microneedling treatment, a soothing mask will be applied to the skin for 20 minutes to cool and hydrate the skin.
Downtime: After the procedure you may expect redness for up to 72 hours post treatment depending on skin sensitivity. You can return to work and other activities the day after the procedure providing a physical sunscreen and if needed, mineral make-up is applied.
Frequency and Duration for Microneedling Sessions:
Although results can become noticeable about 4 weeks after the first session, the recommended frequency for most people is 1 time/month. At the time of your treatment, our practitioners will recommend the most optimal number of microneedling sessions for your concerns.
